Serve Holy Family

Holy Family is able to provide service to our community, through the work of our many teams and dedicated team members.

Holy Family's Vestry

The Vestry provides leadership iin the parish to ensure that parish funds are expended properly, protects the church property, and provides all things needed for orderly worship. Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd  Sunday at 11:00 am in the Parish Hall. All are invited to attend.

ECW, Episcopal Church Women

Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, have championed women's rights and the Christian foundation of God and Family. They are a ministry of the Episcopal Church and celebrate that Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating and life-giving God: Father and Holy Spirit.

All women who attend Holy Family are considered members of the ECW and are invited to attend our meetings. The ECW plans and supports many of our outreach events and drives.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is a group of dedicated people who prepare the altar for Holy Eucharists, baptisms, weddings, and funerals. They care for our sacred vessels and vestments, working quietly behind the scenes. Contact the office by email, office@holyfamilynj.org or by phone, 856.784.8666 if you are interested in learning more about this team.

Coffee Hour Hosts

Coffee Hour hosts are responsible for setting up the coffee, hot water for tea, providing snacks and cleaning up afterwards.

Sunday Worship Teams

Every Sunday and most worship services, Holy Family has a team of volunteers that help with the service.

  • Altar Guild - works behind the scenes, to prepare the altar for the service.
  • Usher - greets everyone who comes through our doors, and offers assistance when needed,
  • Acolyte/LEM - leads the procession and recession and helps to prepare the table for Communion.
  • Readers - Read the Old Testament Reading, lead the Psalm, and read the New Testament reading and/or Epistle.
  • Coffee Hour - makes the coffee, heats up water for tea, and provides treats for fellowship following the 9:30 am service.
  • Vestry Person of the Month - an active Vestry member makes sure that there are volunteers for Coffee Hour and writes a reflection for the weekly newsletter.
